A Grade II-listed, timber-framed, 17th-century village pub, formerly three cottages, situated in rolling downland countryside near to the Pilgrims Way. It has a cosy bar with original brick floor, and is warmed in winter by an inglenook log fire. A local beer is often available, alongside beers from across the UK. Food is the main emphasis here, served in the beamed and candlelit restaurant and table reservations are required. SUNDAY lunches are served 12-2 but pre-booking is necessary. NO Vegetarian food. Dogs are allowed in the bar. NO children under 14 in bar or restaurant.
