The Letters is situated at the far west side of Atherton town centre on the main road. It started selling real ale again in 2015 and now has one beer on which changes on a weekly basis. It is a pleasant pub with seating areas around the bar and a pool room at the back. There are also benches in the yard behind the pub accessible via the door which leads to the ladies toilets.
