Tatton Arms

Opening hours

A major refurbishment by Robinson's took place in 2012, this was a general tidying up of its appearance, but at the same time the building was extended at both ends to add a spacious dining area finished by a huge picture window, and a striking timber-framed smoking shelter, however the core of the pub around the bar was little changed. The refurbishment brought new life to a pub which at times seemed to have rather lost its way. In past years this was a 'Good Beer Guide' regular, being a classic, largely unspoilt pub having a country pub feel to it. Extensive wood panelling and low ceilings set the olde-worlde tone around the bar and although there is a stronger emphasis on food, the pub still has a traditional feel with a variety of interesting and characterful drinking spaces. The outdoor drinking area at the back of the pub facing the airport was also extended and smartened up. The beer garden is great place to watch planes landing at next door Manchester Airport. Note that seasonal beer is only on during summer months, and in the busy Christmas period.
