A real ale, cider and craft keg haven sister to Font in Manchester. Up to eight ever changing real ales usually feature one from RedWillow along with local and further afield favourites. Locally regularly features Blackjack, Track, Squawk, Thirst Class and Pomona Island amongst others while from outside the immediate area come Mallinsons, Torrside and more. 16 keg lines with around 8 given to regularly changing guests. A small font wall to the left of bar serves between 4 and 6 traditional ciders (not all real & number varies seasonally). Trafford & Hulme CAMRA Cider Pub of Year 2014 - 2016 and 2018 - 2020. Simple, but hearty meals including pot meals and platters are served from the small but functional open kitchen from opening until 10pm daily. Opens from 9.30 am for coffee, breakfast from 10am and alcohol from 11. A mixture of tables with chairs suitable for dining and lower coffee tables and sofas make for a relaxed and homely atmosphere. A big deck at the front is perfect for warm summer evenings. No drinks outside after 11pm. Quiz night Tuesdays. Home of the Chorlton Home Brewers (2nd weds of every month).
