This basement bar is not easy to spot. The entrance is half way along Little Lever Street between Dale Street and Mother Macs pub. Go through some large iron gates, turn right and then left and down some steps and here you are. Above the entrance a sign proclaims 'BEATS, BATS and BEERS'. BEERS - Started selling two real ales in early 2014. Guest ales from local breweries and occasional house ales themed with current art exhibitions and brewed by Outstanding. Also sells a selection of bottled Thornbridge and other brewery beers. The main room has changing art exhibits on walls. BATS - A second room has four ping pong tables. BEATS - Also hosts club nights on Friday and Saturday night.
