Hermit Inn

Opening hours

OFFICIALLY RE-OPENED ON 16 AUG 2021. THIS PUB WAS SAVED BY A LOCAL CAMPAIGN GROUP, WITH THE SUPPORT OF SOME LOCAL INVESTORS, FROM THE THREAT OF BEING CONVERTED TO HOUSING. A PUB SAVING SUCCESS! A traditional, multi-roomed, country inn located in the hills above Burley-in-Wharfedale with lovely views over the valley. The pub has a classic rural feel with dark wood panelling and furniture and a clay-tiled area around the bar. The layout is semi-open plan in nature with a large lounge area containing the bar and a smaller back room. The four hand-pulls serve a varying range of beers, often from the local area but sometimes from the wider Yorkshire region. The extensive decking around the car park provides a large external seating area and there is also a beer garden. The pub has required a lot of work to get it ready and there are various work items still to be completed. The kitchen has required much refurbishment and it is intended to have this opened before the end of November 2021. In the meantime, outdoor catering is being provided. Whilst facilities for the disabled are generally good, improvements to access the ladies toilets are required and being planned. The pub welcomes all and it is intended to restore its function as a meeting place for the local community. The stated opening times were valid at the time of re-opening but there may be some adjustments as the operation of the pub beds in. Since re-opening, the pub has already proven to be popular.
