Crown Hotel

Opening hours

Built in 1628 this cosy and quirky town centre pub is well worth a visit alone to see the historic interior recognised by CAMRA. The main bar area has many features including numerous pewter and other tankards hanging from the ceiling. There are two separate dining areas and a snooker room upstairs. There are also four en-suite bedrooms upstairs. One guest beer is dispensed from the sole handpump, but Real Ale not guaranteed. Best chance at weekend when the steam trains are running.
