This former Yates Wine Bar, now rebranded by owning company Stonegate as one of their Classic Inns brand, remains a cheerful, lively event pub in the centre of town. Open-plan, long and narrow with a curving side bar plus some alcove seating, it patriotically sells cask ale brewed in Wales. Food includes pizzas and Sunday roasts.
