Traditional village pub, a former coaching inn. Very old, low and beamed. Partially-modernised and knocked-through, olde worlde style with old beams. Two front bars, the left-hand one with a narrow iron column supporting an ancient beam; a plainer rear room. Separate dining room to the right of the entrance lobby. Food is available most times, with produce from local suppliers.
