Rose & Crown

Opening hours

This thatched roof pub straddles the boundary between the two villages of Thurnby & Bushby, hence the two main rooms been referred to as the Bushby Bar and the Thurnby Lounge. The pub also has a skittles long alley, which doubles as a function room. Splendid views across the valley are afforded from rear elevation windows and the rear patio garden, furnished with picnic tables. The night of 30th November 2004 saw the pub ravaged by fire, however, following an extensive rebuilding programme it was officially re-opened by Mr. Richard Everard on the 6th December 2005. A large picture on the wall in the bar shows a very old view of this pub. (See Photo’s)
