Following a disastrous fire on 6 September 2019, the pub was entirely demolished, then rebuilt and reopened in September 2020. Built by Marstons in about 2012, a typical modern family-friendly pub-diner located in an area of business uses and a retirement village, about 1.7km east of the town centre. The large L-shaped interior is in unfussy modern decor, and there is background pop musak to entertain. Food is available all day, and includes Monday to Friday meal deals. There is a wide choice of meals, but the speciality is rotisserie chicken. Garden and patio areas around, and there are kids' play areas inside and outside. Live music on Fridays and Thursday is quiz night. Beers are from the Marston's Group.
