Alexanders Bar (Castle Green Hotel)

Set in the grounds of the Castle Green Hotel (a former electricity board headquarters), Alexanders occupies an older barn/stable block. As a free house it serves up to four different Cumbrian beers including Bowness Bay and Kirkby Lonsdale. A large conservatory offers comfortable seating, dining facilities and fine views over the pub and hotel grounds, Kendal castle and the distant fells. Well-spaced outside tables. Beer only £3 a pint all day Thursday.
