Wheatsheaf Inn

Opening hours

This village pub offers real ale, delicious food and superior accommodation, including a comfortable bunkhouse in the former Helsington church with stunning views over the estuary including the Arnside railway viaduct. Parts of the historic inn date back to 1762 and it has been an ale house since the early 1800s. Developed by the Individual Inns Group, the Wheatsheaf has been delightfully refurbished with a great deal of attention and care. It has a series of rooms and cosy corners, log fires and an inviting bar area serving an excellent selection of local ales. The pub is on popular cycling routes and walkers and dogs are welcome. Now owned by Robinsons. **Robinsons Brewery has recently acquired Individual Inns so watch out for changes.
