In a hamlet with a parish church, old stocks and little else is this independently-owned free house. Behind the 1679 datestone and old oak door, a flagged passage leads to a light and airy bar (refurbished 2017) with a cosy dining area and 56 gins. Tables on a patio and a small but attractive beer garden with a view of Ingleborough. There are a few locals but most of the trade is from tourists. Ten minutes' walk from the start of the Waterfalls Walk.
