This village local with a large restaurant area is worth a detour off the A590 High Newton bypass or a stop off the X6 bus from Kendal to Barrow-in-Furness. The three regular local beers are complemented by a varied selection of beers (both local and from further afield, including a range of styles). An excellent range of locally produced food is also served. The restaurant area can be reached by a door to the rear of the pub which has disabled access.
