A large,open and airy Wetherspoon pub with a traditional feel. A good selection of beer available including at least one local and one dark beer. The pub is on the site of the old Huyton Brewery, founded in 1825, and managed by the Barker family over four generations until 1925. A sculpture of Richard Barker can be found near the bar. The main dining area leads onto the beer garden at the rear. Alcohol served from 9am. Children MUST vacate by 9:30pm.
