Friendly, community village pub situated over the hill from Woolton village and separated from Menlove Avenue by blocks of flats. Guests beers regularly include a local Big Bog beer and a Welsh beer from Purple Moose, Heavy Industry or Cwrw Lal. A popular quiz is held on Tuesday evening. Sky and BT Sports are shown. Woolton is famous as the home of the Beatles, with their original name 'Quarrymen' from Woolton quarry, St Peter's church where they first met, and Eleanor Rigby's grave.
