A Manx Cat Inn, owned by Isle of Man brewer, Okells. It serves their beers, alongside at least four changing guest beers from around the country, mostly from smaller brewerues. The pub has an interesting history as Kirkland's Bakery and its name comes from their slogan 'no flies in the loaf'. Subsequently, it was Kirkland's Wine Bar for many years before closure. It was reopened as a pub in 2004 by Okells. Refurbished, in May 2014, the spacious interior has a light and airy frontage with good views of the Anglican Cathedral from the raised window areas, with contrasting wood panelled sections to the rear. There is an attractive small outside drinking space at the front and a function room upstairs.
