Welkin

Wetherspoon's Welkin is situated in the city centre, close to the popular Cavern Walks. Very much a café/bar rather than a traditional pub, it has two rooms: one large and L-shaped on the ground floor, and a smaller room with a dining area upstairs.Often busy with shoppers,it has recently benefitted from a refurbishment. The pub takes its name from the Old English word for sky, and commemorates Jeremiah Horrocks, one of Liverpool's greatest sons and the Father of English Astronomy.
