German themed bier hall with extensive range of local craft keg and continental beers. Same chain as Albert’s Schloss in Manchester. This Grade II-listed ale house and kitchen occupies the Casartelli Building, built in 1760. Initially an Italian family-run scientific manufacturing business, it was latterly a wine warehouse. A period of decay led to dismantling in 2001. A campaign to Stop the Rot led to reconstruction using as many original materials as possible.
