Lively family-run pub in a pedestrianised shopping area, it offers up to three guest ales from local and regional breweries. Formally a Bass house the original Bass mirror remains. More than 50 malt whiskys are usually available, sports fixtures are shown and there are occasional beer festivals and 'meet the brewer' events. The pub sign, simply saying 'Richmond Pub', depicts World War ll veteran Paddy Golden, a much missed regular and one of the first to land on the Normandy beaches.
