Founded as a fishing village, Anstruther is home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum, recreational vessels are now moored in the harbour. One of Anstruthers most historic buildings, the Dreel’s history goes back at least to the early 18th century. A traditional pub, popular with locals, walkers and all visitors, an open fire in winter creates a cosy atmosphere. At the rear is a sunny beer garden overlooking the Dreel burn from which the pub takes its name.
