The pub is nestled in the corner of the Royal Square in the centre of St Helier. Named after Major Francis Peirson, it contains historical reminders of the Battle of Jersey in 1781. Two ales are always on handpump plus an occasional additional ale on gravity. Excellent food is served at lunchtime throughout the year, with evening meals also on offer in summer. The pub has a good reputation with locals and visitors alike. Outside seating is extremely popular in the summer months.
