Uig Hotel

Perched up the hill above the majestic Uig Bay, just a mile from the ferry terminal, The Uig Hotel is an ideal overnight stop when catching the ferry to the Western Isles. The hotel was taken over by Billy and Anne in 2013 and up to three hand pumps are supplied from Isle of Skye Brewery, just down the road in Uig. Maybe after visiting the Isle of Skye brewery, call into sample some of their beers as Uig Hotel is the unofficial "Brewery Tap" Normally two HP all year round, but joined by a third at busy times offering a seasonal. Bar meals are available from noon to 3pm, offering a selection of sandwiches, soup, burger and pasta dishes alongside more substantial starters, mains and desserts. Then the main restaurant is open from 6pm which offers fantastic views over Uig Bay and Loch Snizort. - booking is strongly recommended. The clever menu is augmented with daily specials using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and may include fresh Skye produce, lamb from the surrounding farms, venison from the hills and seafood from the waters around Skye.
