An ancient smugglers' inn overlooking the River Orwell, that has been extended to the rear to provide additional seating for diners. The patio area to the front has fine views. Refurbished and re-roofed after a fire in 2003, the pub now offers high class cuisine together with gravity dispensed beers. Meet Up Mondays: free tea, coffee & toast 0900-1100.
