Friendly local in the cobbled main street of a historic conservation village. The single bar serves two distinct drinking areas, the left-hand one of which has a real fire in winter and that to the right has a piano. The main bar is decorated with many local photographs showing the village and a supply of books and DVDs are available for a donation to charity.. The licensee also runs a beer and cider wholesale company and the three guest beers and three ciders are sourced from far and wide. They usually keep one dark beer. They specialise with 170 different Gins and currently hold two Gin Festivals a year. There is a lovely sun-trap beer garden to the rear.
