Converted from a former joinery, the pub won CAMRA's Best Conversion to Pub Use award in 2006. This large open-plan local, beside the Rochdale Canal on the western side of the town centre, features exposed beams and floorboards. There is a large room utilising the high ceilings to good effect. There is a small room off of this is used for folk music on Thursdays Wide range of guest ales supplementing the Timothy Taylor range.
