River Lounge

The River Lounge is a Sports Bar, but with a difference. The TV screens are still there, indeed the cricket was showing during our visit, but the tag line of 'Craft, Cask, Cocktails, Coffee' suggests that mine host Adrian Whitworth is aiming for a wider customer base than just the traditional sports bar punter. The place is spotlessly clean, light wood floors and tasteful decor, with comfortable seating. The bar and adjacent room overlook the River Calder, hence the name, although unfortunately there is no outdoor riverside area in which to enjoy your drink.
