Rock Hotel

Opening hours

A 17th century wayside inn near junction 23 of the M62, which difficult to find from junction 24 and positioned on a very steep bend. Originally a terrace of four stone-built cottages, it's now a 30 bedroom hotel, although this isn't obvious from the road. The bar-lounge is traditionally furnished in part but also extends out into a modern conservatory. Some snug areas are provided, one of which has a real fire. There's also another small lounge at a higher level, although this is accessible to the disabled. The pub has an excellent reputation for food and is a popular venue for big functions, especially weddings.
