This listed 16th century coaching inn, close to the Calderdale Way, stands opposite a 1737 reconstruction of a stone chair, once used by stagecoach passengers. Inside the pub, there are two upstairs rooms next to the bar, as well as a downstairs function room (also used as a quiet room), which has a separate outside entrance. As well as various theme nights, the pub's pool team enters into the local league. Other entertainment consists of live music, pub quizzes, discos or karaoke and a large screen television.
