Sheltering beneath the concrete flyover carrying the A629, this Edwardian pub was rebuilt in 1904, as the fine tiled plaque on the outside attests. lt was formerly known as the Shears Inn and then as the Dean Clough. A public footpath goes up the steps to the right. The interior, where you'll find the architect's drawing of 1903, consists of a chevron-shaped room, with a raised area at one end.
