Ivy House

Opening hours

An attractive Jacobean farmhouse, once known as Little Moor, and occupied in the early 19th century by a friend of Dorothy Wordsworth. Converted into a pub in 1887, it now consists of two dining and drinking areas, a separate pool room and a large garden. The furnishings and decor are mainly traditional, apart from a collection of Beatles memorabilia. A reputedly haunted chair was once closely investigated by a team of Japanese ghost hunters. The customers, who are mainly local, are entertained by occasional live music, discos or karaoke, a large screen television, games machine and background music.
