This historic, sixteenth century inn, substantially altered over the years, has recently been sympathetically refurbished. The large single bar is divided into several areas and, although predominantly an eating house at lunchtime, there is still plenty of room for drinkers. It also has a function room and skittle alley. Traditional English food is served. Entertainment at weekends. Live music Friday, Saturday; Open mic alternate Wednesdays; Jazz Sunday 5pm. No entry after 11pm. Full disabled facilities.
