Re-opened by Wye Valley Brewery following an impressive refurbishment that included a new extension with an oak-vaulted ceiling and a landscaped rear garden/patio, this is a back street venue with real pedigree. A large central bar-servery, is book-ended by two distinct seating areas with modern decor make this a popular pub for an area of the city otherwise devoid of quality choices. Snacks are always available, such as sandwiches, and pork pies and barbecues in summer. A quiz is held monthly on a Thursday.
