Genuine 17th-century village pub close to the Grand Union Canal. A central bar serves three areas: an upstairs lounge with comfortable sofas, a small snug to the left of the entrance, and a public bar with an open coal-burning fire. A games area hosts bar billiards, darts and shove-ha’penny. Five or more well-kept beers are served on hand pump and the kitchen serves generous portions of home-cooked food. There is a beautiful garden to the rear.
