Hotel pub found by the Market Square and fronted by the taxi rank outside. A grade II listed building which has had many interior changes since Wetherspoon took over the running of the pub. As with this chain there are a good range of ales found at the back of the pub with a constant Greene King presence and several changing guest ales including local brewer, Tring. The food is varied and hearty and lists calories if you’re so minded. As with the chain, it hosts twice yearly beer festivals with many beers rotated on hand pump over a 10 day period. It also hosts a cider festival during the Summer.
