During November 2015 the Riser had a complete make-over, remodelling the pub along the lines of The Cross Keys in Thame. XT Brewery has adopted the pub as their Brewery Tap in partnership with Oak Taverns. Out went the pool table, the dart boards, the juke box and the filthy carpet. The toilets have new lino and have been re-tiled and painted. Comfy chairs and tables encourage conversation. The TV remains and will be used for rugby internationals and similar events. The bar sports six new hand pumps with ale pulled through new lines from the cellar behind the bar. No longer is beer served on gravity. The plan is to have around four pumps serving XT and Animal ales with swaps from around the country on the other two. The bar Locally valued therefore listed as an asset of community value.
