Opposite Knaresborough's Grade II listed railway station and signal box this Market Town Taverns pub offers a modern split-level bar with wooden flooring throughout. A mix of pictures adorn the walls including some contemporary photographs of local scenes such as the station and viaduct. There is a side room mostly used for dining, a function room in the basement and a sunny terrace at the back with views of the local church. The six handpumps dispense three regular Yorkshire ales as well as two changing beers from Yorkshire and smaller national breweries. Accommodation is available in four en-suite rooms, and food is served every day. Well-behaved dogs and children are welcome.
