A large, much extended, stone-built pub in a planned estate village associated with the local Goldsborough Hall, a former home of King George V's daughter. Refurbished in 2019, the pub is now operated by the owners of Goldsborough Hall. The pub looks like several buildings have been joined together and the interior has a mix of styles reflecting this. At the front is a split level lounge in half timbering, next to this is an L-shaped restaurant area, with a further eating area tacked on the back. At the back is a comfortable traditional public bar complete with bench seating and a darts board. At the back is a beer patio next to a car park with generous sized spaces. It is a very friendly place doubling as village pub and restaurant. Décor is traditional posh pub with a nice carpet, dark brown furniture and tasteful prints.
The pub is on the Knaresborough Round walking route.
