South Lodge

Set back from the main road, just to the south of the city, this is a big 19th century house converted to a pub at some stage. It comprises a large open plan room with a pool table to the left and a more secluded dining/drinking area to the right-hand side. There is a large garden at the back and bench seating at the front. Two changing ales are served, usually one traditional bitter and one light beer.
