Water Rat

Located by the side of the River Skell with a fine view of Ripon Cathedral from its riverside conservatory and terrace, this is Ripon's only riverside pub, in fact so close to the river that it has been flooded in the past. An emphasis on affordable home-cooked traditional English pub food means it tends to get busy at times. The main area and conservatory are laid out for dining, whilst there is a small drinking area near to the bar, and a snug on the left-hand side as you enter. Four cask ales are served.
