Large pub standing on a busy crossroads near the Great Yorkshire Showground. Internally it is an “old-modern” open plan pub with dark wood, odd bits of stained glass, boards by the bar counter and carpet under the many tables. There are a couple of wood burning stoves and a proper fireplace with china jugs and a side bookshelf in one corner, there is a suit of armour in another corner. A mix of round and square tables, each is armed with a menu, and seating is provided on some upholstered benches and a collection of chairs. Some tongue and groove remains below cream walls which are decorated with old photos.
