Harrogate’s oldest pub and with a regionally important historic interior which is listed on CAMRA’s Regional Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. The pub was used in the filming of Chariots of Fire. The lounge has a Victorian-style interior with original gas lighting over the bar and there’s a separate snug which is also used as a tea room. Food is served lunchtimes. There is acoustic music on a Sunday afternoon, acoustic open-mic on a Wednesday and karaoke on a Thursday night. The pub prides itself on its floral displays in season.
