Two roomed local next to Slaithwaite viaduct. Huddersfield's long closed Palace Theatre and forty-year-old CAMRA posters, plus interesting old books, are displayed in the taproom. Saturday's disco is in the larger, more vibrant lounge. Bar impresses with ornate etched glass. A blackboard lists current and forthcoming beers, with six normally on tap. A good selection of bottled beers and bar snacks. Quiz on Wednesdays and occasional live music. Plays a part in the Slawit Moonraker Festival and the famous ale-trail.
