The owners have run pubs in the area for many years and nine years ago brought their expertise to this delightful privately-owned free house. The beers are well kept, with seven handpumps serving three fixed and four guest beers including local brews from the likes of Andwell and Bowman. The food is freshly-cooked with vegetarian options - the fish and chip, available as takeaway, warrants special mention due to the "secret recipe" batter (gluten free) used. Easily accessible on the A32 four miles from Alton, this is a pub not to be missed. Opens each day from eight-thirty am for tea and coffee.
