Eight Bells

Opening hours

This Grade II listed building dates from the 1640's and has been a pub since at least the 1840's when it was known as the Sawyers Arms. Turnover of the guest beer which may be a local brew, but may come from anywhere, is often rapid. The main bar is a haven for good beer and conversation while the rear drinking area has a television for major sporting events. At the back there is a pleasant paved patio with wooden seating, a covered smoking refuge and an old well. There is a welcoming open fire in the winter months.
