Traditional country pub in the village centre, with a central bar serving both the main area and a small ‘sports bar’ with pool table and darts: there’s also a conservatory area, used mainly for dining. The sizeable garden includes picnic tables and children’s playhouse and slides. Up to 4 Cask Ales are on offer here, Courage Best, Doom Bar, and Landlord being the regulars, and often a Guest Beer, all from a traditional underground cellar. This is a good community pub, also serving freshly-cooked lunch and evening meals, and with live Folk Music on Tuesday evenings.
