Modern pub serving the leafy Southwood district, tucked away behind Morrisons so look out for the signs. The large open-plan interior is mainly laid out for dining with most tables laid for four or even six place settings. Food dominates with an extensive and varied menu of main meals but there is also a good range of lighter lunchtime bar snacks. There is a small drinkers' area by the bar, partially separated from the dining area by a wooden lattice partition, with tall bar tables and bar stools you can perch on. Doom Bar is supplemented by a changing guest beer normally from Caledonian.
