George

Opening hours

One of the oldest pubs in Aldershot The George Reopened in December 2012 after a £140,000 refurbishment, with separate areas for eating, drinking and dancing. The back area is a more modern extension. The George has a dual identity. For much of the week it is a typical town centre pub, albeit with a strong focus on live sport on the televisions. On Thursday night karaoke features whilst Friday and Saturday nights are aimed firmly at the younger crowd, being marketed as party nights with a live DJ. Note the opening hours are extended until 3.00 a.m. on the last Saturday of the month. The early part of the week usually sees food offers to help attract customers. Owners Stonegate deserve credit for restoring the traditional name, prior to their takeover the pub had been re-branded as The Goose.
