Matt and Sophie took back day to day management of this privately owned pub in summer 2021 and are steadily extending opening hours and facilities with evening meals and an extended menu (including Fish Fridays). Quiz Night on the first Wednesday of the month starts in October 2021. The emphasis is very much on local ales and it is hoped to extend the cask beer range as trade picks up. There is a delightful rear garden with rustic shelters approached through a vine pergola. A website is under development at the time of writing. The bus from Alton to Guildford stops a few yards away and towards Alton round the corner in Station Road.
